I am an aspiring agricultural economist from Nepal, exploring market access and resilience for smallholder farmers.
I hold a B.Sc. in Agriculture from IAAS, Tribhuvan University, Nepal, where I completed my thesis on the adaptability of rice genotypes. Currently, I manage the market access component of the CASA project across Madesh and Lumbini provinces in Nepal, while working as an agriculture officer at NACCFL, Lalitpur, Nepal.
Training of trainers on Hydrophonics
A three‑day Training of Trainers hydroponics workshop held in October 2023 at Tewa Nepal—organized by UNDP Nepal and Wind Power Nepal—that combined theoretical instruction on hydroponic system types, greenhouse design, and nutrient management with hands‑on construction of a Nutrient Film Technique setup to empower participants to advance urban self‑sufficiency in Nepal.
Struggle of Mukta Kamaiya Community in Mainapokhar, Nepal
A seven‑day intensive survey of 30 freed Mukta Kamaiya pregnant and lactating women (and 30 women from other communities) in Mainapokhar, Bardiya, assessing their socio‑economic and nutritional status, dietary patterns (including food taboos), and livelihood challenges, and proposes interventions—such as adult education, off‑season vegetable farming, nutrition field schools, and small livestock rearing—to improve their well‑being.
