In August 2025, I visited the Kebalpur Women Small Farmer Agriculture Cooperative in Dhading as part of the Family Farming Regional Platform’s Interregional Dialogue. What began in 1999 with women saving a handful of rice each day has evolved into a thriving cooperative that supports over 1,200 women through credit, insurance, and social schemes. Through stories of resilience, innovation, and quiet leadership, the visit revealed that family farming is not just a tradition but a powerful and hopeful model for sustainable futures.
